 General Comments:
The Stupid-1355 virus was received in April, 1992. Its origin is
unknown. Stupid-1355 is a non-resident, direct action infector
       of .COM programs, including COMMAND.COM.

When a program infected with Stupid-1355 is executed, the virus
will infect one .COM program in the current directory, and then
a system hang will occur. If COMMAND.COM is in the current
directory, it may become infected. Once COMMAND.COM becomes
infected, the system will fail to boot.

Programs infected with the Stupid-1355 virus will have a file
length increase of 1,355 bytes with the virus being located at
the end of the infected file. There will be no change to the
file's date and time in the DOS disk directory listing. One
text string can be found within the viral code in infected
       programs:

               "*.BNL"
