doesn't [-i-] show up in some dialects as the u in just? ("just a minute" -
the u sounding higher than usual, sorta like jest)
Was this the sound intended by "I as in bit is the buffer"? I doubt it. But
there could have been worse choices than [-i-].
Does this mean the buffer issue is solved? Heaven forfend! :)
