Lucas Strikes Back

Ain’t It Cool News has posted this screen capture allegedly taken from the upcoming DVD release of the original Star Wars trilogy:
I dunno…it looks a bit like a Photoshop job to me. Still, if Lucas is really planning to go down this road, it seems a bit unfair that Dark Side poster boy Anakin would get to spend eternity with a hip, youthful astral projection, whereas good guys Obi-Wan and Yoda get stuck as a septuagenarian and a Muppet, respectively.

Just another way for Lucas to remind of us of his sucky prequels, if its true. And I’m not buying the dvds, anyway…I hate the redone versions. Damn Lucas.
I think it is a BRILLIANT stroke!
I mean, it’s obvious that, by the high quality of the prequels, that Lucas is FAR more creative now than he was back then. I mean, he got rid of that ANNOYING Ewok victory music at the end of Jedi (perhaps because there wasn’t enough CGI in it) and spliced in a perfectly fitting montage of shots of places you’ll only know if you’ve read the crappy books that came out post trilogy. I mean, hey, I sure don’t miss my beloved Ewok victory song…and CGI RULES!
And, all the added CGI in ESB…oh, and the CGI in ANH…priceless…oh, and how WONDERFULLY blended ALL of the CGI was in AotC…especially C-3PO…not stupid, idiotic, or a complete waste for comedy sake that fell flat AT ALL!
I *HOPE* Lucas doesn’t disappoint by NOT tampering and FIXING the many things wrong with the original trilogy so that they fit in with the prequels. Like, he could jettison ALL plot, and put in CGI sea monsters chasing our heroes…oh, more CGI…then they’ll be a PERFECT follow up to the superior prequels.
LOL. Perhaps he can insert Jar-Jar somewhere, too.
And they could replace Yoda with Gary Coleman.
“Whachoo talkin’ bout, Luke?”
