Lose yourself in the music

Every review I’ve read of singer-songwriter Nellie McKay’s debut album, Get Away from Me, describes her music as a cross between Doris Day and Eminem. You know, I’m starting to think that it’s worth the $12.99 just to hear how that seemingly mismatched musical goulash turns out.

Speaking of music, Kourtney and I are heading out to see the Barenaked Ladies in concert tonight. I’m hoping that they’ll be able to offset my growing distaste for their recent studio work (see here and here) with an awesome live show. We’ll see…

At what point are you going to realize that the Barenaked Ladies just suck? They used to suck, they currently suck, and they will always suck for as long as they exist. That’s just my opinion…but it’s better than yours :) Hope you enjoyed that sucky concert.

See, a simpleton like yourself would say something like that. You’re just too damn stupid to understand their jokes. So, you go back to listening to your touchy feely american music, while me and this fella, who also went to the BNL concert, sit back and listen to some damn good ole’ canadian classics. You can say your opinion is better, but you and i both know that it’s something you decided to pull out of your ass and have nothing to back it up.

    have a nice day!
