Tonight on Access Hollywood…

I’m not particularly proud of the fact, but I’ll admit that I’ve watched MTV’s Newlyweds starring Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey on occasion. That being said, there was a great bit in the promo for next week’s episode. It seems that the media picks up on a rumor that Jessica is pregnant after she mentions an upset stomach during a press conference, leading interviewers, hair and makeup people, and just about everyone else she encounters to inquire whether or not it’s true. Eventually, Jessica starts to get nervous and takes a home pregnancy test — just to “make sure the rumors aren’t true.” You know, just in case the wacky morning DJs somehow knew something that she didn’t. Classic.

Oh man. That is great…
I’m not a Nick/Jessica/98 Degrees fan in any way, but I’ve also partaken of the show a time or two. And I really want to feel sorry for Nick, but he must have had some idea about what he was getting into. He seems pretty normal for the most part; then again, he’s made some odd decisions aside from marrying spoiled, brain-dead Jessica…being in a boy band comes to mind, and having a chubby, balding guy in that boy band seems particularly odd too. And what was with that stupid sound effect in the chorus of their big single? Everyone knows that Dee-lite’s “Groove Is In The Heart” is the only song appropriate for that instrument/effect.
98 Degrees had a balding chubby guy? Are you sure you aren’t thinking of 2gether?
