Remember back when reality television pretty much just consisted of sticking a bunch of quasi-attractive people in a house and filming them for a few months? Back then, there were no immunity challenges, no bachelors, no bachelorettes, no littlest grooms, no millionaires, no Amish teenagers gone wild, no makeovers, no obnoxious fiancés, no remodeled rooms, and no shocking twists. Things were so much simpler then.
On March 4, the SciFi channel premiers the latest entry in the increasingly ridiculous reality television genre: Mad Mad House. The premise? According to the show’s website, ten ordinary folks move in with five “practitioners of alternative lifestyles” — a Wiccan, a Naturist, a Modern Primitive, a Voodoo Priestess, and a “real-life” Vampire — and “live out a Survivor meets The Real World meets The Osbournes lifestyle.” Seriously.

HOLY POOP! For real, man. What the heck. I’m trying to think of something witty to say about this…but…it’s like My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancee, you know. What can you say about it…it’s a parody in and of itself.
I…I…words don’t fit this. Oh, well. I bet we’ll have to endure the little pop-ups in the lower right corner of the screen for this crap for the next month or two whenever watching Sci-Fi, like that Scare Tactics crap that used to pop up every thirty seconds when watching whatever it was that used to be interesting on Sci-Fi.
Remember when Sci-Fi actually had stuff dealing with science fiction? Now it’s all wiggy horror crap. Like when MTV played MUSIC…gah. I need some Kool-Aid…
I’ve always assumed that putting together a good line-up for a science fiction network would be the easiest task on Earth. Apparently, if the SciFi channel is any indication, it’s harder than it looks.
I saw the commercials for that… looks funky. The animated show that comes out on the same night looks a little better, I think…
