Super Bowl Predictions
Posted on February 1, 2004 @ 12:28 am
Since I haven’t been following the NFL all that closely this season, I decided to have Madden 2004 simulate a match-up between the Panthers and the Patriots. Based on the results of the simulation, I’ll go on record predicting a win for New England over Carolina, 34-17.
I also predict that the Super Bowl will appear to briefly lock up during the third quarter, but it will turn out just to be McAfee downloading new virus definitions in the background.

New England lost big-time in my Madden game, an embarrassing 98-10 pummeling. However, my game consisted of an impressive 400+ yards rushing performance by yours truly, and the part of the Carolina Panthers was played by an undefeated Chicago Bears squad.
Incidentally, you recorded 5 sacks, which probably earned you a nice 2nd-place finish in the MVP voting. However, the fact that I scored all 14 of our touchdowns (rushing, receiving, and returning) secured the top spot for myself yet again. Better luck next year.
You couldn’t even give me a pity touchdown? Not cool, man. Not cool.
Oh, you’re right…I did let you score once from your fullback position; we were inside the 10 and I didn’t want to bring down my rushing average.
I think an “Aww!” is in order.
