Yeah, yeah, my heart’s in a whirl

Apart from starring a group of middle-aged women instead of men, remind me again of how the film Calendar Girls isn’t exactly like The Full Monty. Oh, wait–it is.

Good point. Isn’t Freaky Friday not a gender switch of Like Father, Like son?

Actually, it’s vice versa (not to be confused with the Fred Savage/Judge Reinhold body-switch comedy Vice Versa), since the original Freaky Friday came first. In the case of The Full Monty, though, it just seems a little odd to lift such a unique idea (middle-aged people finding out a lot about life and themselves through nudity) so soon. Calendar Girls is getting great reviews and doing fairly well at the box office, however, so what do I know?
