Wintertime in Georgia

Not to turn the site into a photoblog or anything, but I thought I’d share this shot that I snapped on campus earlier today with our new camera. Clicking the thumbnail will produce a larger image.

Flowers in December–you’ve gotta love Georgia.

Pictures are looking good, Jess. They both have these strong dramatically contrasting shadows and colours to them. Very nice.
The Christmas tree one looks like it’s from a magazine. Good jorb.
I just hope you realize that that’s a dog with wings you have on your tree there.
Thanks for the feedback on the photos! I can assure you, however, that any quasi-artistic shadowing or color composition that appears occurred entirely by chance and not as a result of any ability or talent of my own.

And, yes, I realize that’s a dog with wings in the photo below. Our entire tree, in fact, is decorated in dog ornaments. It comes with the territory when you marry a veterinarian.
That is from a camellia bush, right?
I’m not 100 percent positive, but I believe it is in fact a camellia bush. Good eye!
Veterinarian eh? Seems reasonable. But what do you hang on the tree when you marry a heart surgeon? …or a proctologist?
