I tried to post this in the hints and tech help forum but i get error messages, so.....

I'm stuck on the planet Ortega.... i picked up a second detonator after blowing up the shield generator and now i can't jump across to my ship without blowing up, nor can i find an efficient way to get rid of this new detonator... can anyone help?
