Yatta! I got my plane ticket!

July 31st, I'm flying out on my own for the first time to attend Diane's wedding. Now all I have to do is hope my passport goes through in the next week or so.

This reminds me of the old days where there was only online weddings and stuff like that here. Well, I hope that the (hopefully) happy couple and the guests, including you, have a good time! Smile

I, too, have my ticket to fly into New York for the same wedding. It is exciting. I hope I catch the bouquet.

Which reminds me--Diane, has my RSVP been received yet? We had an incident with some misplace mail here at The Uh and my notice may have been affected. I really could have just called you about that. Hmm.

Bloody heck, they're cutting things short with my passport. I called up the main office last night and they told me they were just going to transfer my application over to a different office and have it ready by the 24th.

Crap. Now they can't get ahold of my guarantor and I don't know anyone else in the required profession to act as one.

My only hope now is to go through some bloody lawyer channels to get this thing up and running. And even if I do, it'll be ready the 30th soonest. One day before take-off.

I swear this is proof of God right here - of the fact that he saves everything until the last second to see what I'm made of. There's no other possible reason they'd have me running all over the city trying to collect all sorts of legal documents on random deadlines (ala Die Hard 3,) while at the same time dealing with a bad case of diarrhea, a funeral to go to tomorrow, and a birthday to deal with at the same time - with no chance to work on any of this during the weekend.

If any of you have magical mental powers that can fix this, please use them now.
