I was wondering if perhaps anyone had copies of a few certain old time fan games Ive been trying to get my hands on.

Frans alerted me to this page:
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Zone/6260/Media/games.html
But most of the games wont download.

I sent emails out to the makers of the games, but have yet to recieve any replies, so I'm asking if any of you guys have them now.

The games I need are by Scumsoft (Pinkunz on Patrol, Astro Chicken 2, Orat Sportz: Soccer, and Eureka Trash Pickup) and Wilco Games ( Deltaur Disaster, Orat Soccer VGA, Shore Leave Soccer, Space Quest Infinity, and Mallard Missions).
I remember the old Scumsoft site, but I dont know Wilco Games.

Also, does anyone remember what that site was that was attempting to document the entire internet? You were all talking about it a while ago. They should have the old Scumsoft and Wilco games websites documented, right? I know that that site doesnt support downloads, but I would still like to see the sites.

Thanks,
ColinP

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these guys only archive HTML pages, and some images I think, not ZIP files (other large files).

Correct, it doesn't do images either, and if you see them it's because the images still are there on the internet.

Anyhow, Colin just wanted to see the actual website if he couldn't get the download itself. At least that's what I thought he said Razz

ColinP,

I made the Scumsoft games, and I still have copies of AstroChicken2 and Pinkunz, plus the non-SQ games. The rest were lost in a computer crash a while back. Do you want these ones?

I've found an old backup disc I made with Escape, Eureka, Orat 1 (I guess this is shore leave soccer) in some games directory, with some other K&P games.
Problem is, they are all the installed files, but I guess if you install one of them they all use the same dll files.

Excellent Galga! Pardon my ignorance, but Im afraid that I dont follow you. What exactly is the problem? Is it something that just sending me the files related to that game wouldnt solve?

If you could figure out a way to send em to me I'll be ETERNALLY grateful!

But what's "Escape"? I know that there are more games than are on the Starcon website I looked at, but I havent had a chance to look the old Scumsoft website over too closely yet. (And maybe seeing as how you have Eureka Trash Pickup, Orat 1 is the first Orat Soccer game, also made by Dopefish)

I'd seen that page a while back, been disappointed with the broken links, and somehow assumed that Colin, who is very up on these things, already knew about it and hadn't put them on SQfanG since there was nothing available on them. After seeing this thread, I have to say--

Nate, Galga, and Dope: Thank you for finding them (and creating them, as the case may be!)

Colin: Thank you in advance for putting them up where we all can access them!

Snarley: Considering the copyright problems the creators would run into otherwise, they'd pretty much all *have* to be freeware, wouldn't they? Unless you were just joking, in which case, don't I feel silly.
