When i flip the switch to off on the sheilds i get pulled out of the vent by a mutant and am killed, I dont know what else to do. _________________ "I guess we'll just have to evolve too."

Unfortunately, it looks like you forgot to do something earlier in the game.
I would suggest restoring a game before you hit Genetix and explore Genetix a little more. _________________ The quest for a decent signature continues.... |

Of course, that's assuming you've BEEN to Genetix...
In order to thrash the mutants after the bridge switch incident, you need an item from the Genetix lab (the origin of the pukoid mutagen). Thing is, the lab isn't listed on the coordinate list that comes with the game. The coordinates are hidden within the game itself as part of a puzzle.
Here's a hint: if you don't already have the coordinates, go snoop around Klorox II some more.  _________________

i went to genetix i have the coordinents i read the hole computer got the points then left? what did i miss i was stuck on genetix for hours _________________ "I guess we'll just have to evolve too."

After you've read the computer, and been de-flied by Cliffy, you need to go BACK into the lab in your normal human form.
At the foot of the stairs in the lab, you'll find a panel in the wall, and a button next to it. Press the button, and the panel will reveal canisters of liquid nitrogen, which you should take. Cliffy and WD40 will take them from you when you return to the Eureka, and use them to make an anti-Pukoid weapon. Later on, when you hit the switch and get caught, they'll show up and use it to save your butt. ;D
The real puzzle is getting back into the lab as a human. You can't go through the card slot anymore, so you need to unlock the door with a card key. You already have a card (from the salesman in the bar); you just need to modify it with another item (from Cliffy's toolbox).
While you were crawling through the lock as a fly, you should have noticed the lock clicking (or not clicking) when you touched those laser beams. That shows you how you need to alter the card.
