Just found this while browsing around Akril's WSSQID.
Akril (a community regular for anyone new or forgetful) has put together this short adventure game in Flash. It's been up since August apparently, but I felt like sharing it anyway. I really like the attention to detail in here. All the character animation is spot-on, and all the subtle touches with timing (i.e. her stopping the spinning globe) really make the game. I even like the interesting twist at the end.
Short and sweet. Excellent work, Akril. _________________ "Submit your Archie captions for happy fun today." - Pstonie |

Wow, thanks for the free advertizing, Datadog. I didn't plug this game in too many places since it was my first, so naturally it had a fair share of imperfections (in the words of one insightful reviewer, "Is faster read an entire book."). _________________ WSSQID Home

Incidentally, did anyone here get the joke that involved the ursine character in the game's outro? Anyone aware of a certain "landmark" associated with the company that created Space Quest is likely to get it, but I'm just curious to know if anyone actually did. _________________ WSSQID Home

Wow, that was fun! Awesome game, Akril. I love your animations.. Una is adorable!
I'll admit every once in a while I go into conspiracy theorist mode for a couple days.. All the references had me laughing!
..and Tesla is one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century, I think. Good for you spreading the truth about his awesomeness!
Anyway, great game, and I'd love to see you make more! |

I think I did, but I'll replay it just in case I did miss it. |

Thank you very much. One of these days, I may make another adventure game. One of these days...

Great -- that's one solid "probably" from one member of my target audience, which is good. _________________ WSSQID Home
