I just decided to dust off SQ6 and installed it. I downloaded the patch files from http://geocities.com/belzorash/ and am running it in DOSBox.
Something strange happened, and I'm not exactly sure when it started. When I started playing, the "eyes" command worked as expected. Now, though, it causes Roger to walk to that location as though I had selected "feet". I'm thinking this might be a speed issue and I haven't set the "cycles" value in DOSBox properly.
I could keep playing like this, but then I'd miss out on the hilarious descriptions of everything!
Has anyone else experienced this? |

| Well, I played up to where there is sometimes an error after using the ComPost in sickbay and loaded the save game supplied on the CD. Everything worked after that. |

| Nope, I didn't get that error (likely because I installed the patches). But once I got to that point in the game, using those save files fixed whatever problem I was having without me having to lose any gameplay. |
