An inspired montage of the most clichéd phrase in reality television: “I’m not here to make friends.”

that is totally classic. I’m just thinking, there’s a difference between being friendly and being friends. But that’s just hilarious. LOL
I think it’s funny. But I’m also embarrassed by the fact that I agree. One of the thing that kills me about reality shows are the people who are hurt by those who are there to play a game. So, okay, those folks don’t play the game particularly well but if you’re going on a reality show to make friends, what the hell does that say about your life? I want the money, damn it. Make of that what you wish.
I can think of more examples of this phrase on other shows. It is funny that it is that common a motif really.
Another favorite: “You haven’t seen the last of [contestant name here], America!”
I recently watched the MST3K riff tracks of the second Matrix, and at some point they started making fun of the line “We’ve got company!” Since then I’ve seen two movies — Hellboy II and The Dark Knight, and both of them used the phrase “We’ve got company” during an action scene. Ha!
