Comment of the Millennium?
Posted on July 1, 2008 @ 12:00 pm
I realize it’s only 2008, but I received this comment a few days ago here at Apropos of Something, and I think it might be an early front-runner for the coveted Comment of the Millennium award. Please pardon the commenter’s language; I’m sure she’d apologize herself if she were here.

What kind of blog post could have I written to provoke such vitriol from KT? Would you believe it was a link to a Homestar Runner Valentine’s Day cartoon? I ♥ the Internet.

Damn viral marketers.
Wow…. that’s… weird.
how would it make me feel to have a total stranger who is quite obviously deranged and in need of meds tell me she hates me?
let me think … yeah. turns out I wouldn’t give a shit.
in other news, while I love me some Coke, I’ve always suspected that Cherry Coke is the work of the devil. I do believe the above comment proves my theory correct, sir.
I still *heart* you madly. how does that make you feel?
That’s the type of comment I dream of getting someday. I actually have a t-shirt (courtesy of an ex) that features her favorite hate mail from a website she ran. Really funny stuff. Although the language prevented me from wearing it in polite company.
Aw man… that’s the kind of comment I want… everyone else gets the loonies except me it seems.
Wait, so “KT” (if that is her real name) is dating a one-year-old? Sick!
Wow, that’s amazing. that is definitely the comment of the millenium!
Hold on, I need a sip of my Cherry Coke® … It’s Always Cheerful and Delicious!™

I went to the link and laughed so hard my abs are hurting. Must limit myself to one ‘toon a day. Or start exercising more.
That being said… this could help KT. Cheers!

@pea: “I still *heart* you madly. how does that make you feel?” Warm and fuzzy.
In a perfect world, I would love to see “***hold on i need a sip of my cherry coke***” become the latest Internet meme. Sigh…
ok 1)that comment is brilliant and you posting it unedited makes me respect you more honestly. i think the page is a tad too g-rated.
2)Tom’s comment made me laugh so hard i shot lemonade out of my nose.
3)what do you think about vanilla coke? I’ve always loved it but apparently, to my close knit group of like minded geeks, my taste for it makes me no less than a mutant. but they all like the PB twix so eff them!
4) KEYLOGGER!
@meatrace: Hey, we can’t drape a loincloth over Michelangelo’s David just because his naughty bits are showing. Censoring that comment would be censoring true digital art.
I’m not a huge fan of canned/bottled Vanilla Coke, but I’m not averse to drinking it. A freshly-mixed Vanilla Coke, on the other hand, is a thing of beauty.
Ironically enough, my beverage of choice these days is mostly Cherry Coke Zero. Speaking of which, ***hold on i need a sip of my cherry coke zero***
‘K, I’m back. Damn, that was good.
And now back to our regularly scheduled Jess rants, brought to you by cool refreshing Coca Cola.
Ahaha. I only wish I could have a blog so I could have comments as funny as this one.
***hold on i need a sip of my cherry coke zero***
‘K, I’m back. Damn, that was good. Back to what I was saying! I have a life. A good one. I’m always happy. I have a wonderful boyfriend of one year, and we even work together. I just came to this site and saw how silly this comment was so it cracked me up and I decided to tell you it’s HILARIOUS. Goodbye.
