Holy crap, Filmation was responsible for some serious garbage.
The thing I notice is how long those intros are… don’t see that anymore.
Chris: I like to think that Filmation noticed Hanna Barbara’s declining garbage output in the 1980s and decided to step in an remedy the situation.
MC: Yeah, they’re long and, in many cases, quite a bit more polished the the cartoons themselves. One gets the definite impression that the prevailing wisdom at the time was, “Hook ‘em with a catchy intro, and maybe they’ll stick around for the show.”
