“Caught in a Hit and Run” Starring Superman

Original image via Superman Through the Ages. This isn’t Superman’s first appearance in the Apropos Comics archive, but to the best of my knowledge, it’s the first time he’s been featured singing a Paula Abdul song.

This is one of my favorite Apropos comics EVER. I can’t stop laughing at the last panel
Looks more like he is singing a U2 song to me, not the intense glare as he sings. Anyway what is up with those shoes? They are freaky…
Fuzzball: Glad you enjoyed it.
I have to admit I’m fond of the last panel myself; I think it’s the clenched teeth.
Brett: I guess this comic was set during the phase when Supes was wearing ballet slippers instead of boots.
Well done. Very well done.
The doe-eyed fan in panel three had me holding my ribs.
Very funny!
Fritz: I’m not 100% certain, but I think that fan in panel three may be Lois Lane. The book it was taken from is a homage to the late 1930s/early 1940s Superman comics, and I seem to recall seeing Lois drawn in that style a few times in the past.
Glad you enjoyed it!
HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAH!!!!
Nice one, Jess, Nice one. Utterly brilliant.

You’ll never believe what song is on the radio right now.
This is by far the single greatest experience of my life.
I can’t help but wonder if Superman is more than hot for me or am I just a page in his history. How about some information please….I shudder to think I know the words to that entire vomitous song.
dirty bunny: I’d like to think that by creating this comic, I’m doing my small part to ensure that the song gets re-stuck in as many people’s heads as possible.
Thanks again for the feedback, everyone! Glad you enjoyed it.
I’m fairly certain I’d be one of the completely baffled and slightly disturbed looking dudes in the second panel. It sure was funny though. Did Superman wear a push-up suit for his manly abs in the making of this comic?
So, are you willing to admit if you had to look up those lyrics or actually knew them off the top of your head?
