Hmm, I remember watching Trekkies, and thinking that he was such a wonderful man. He got a fan letter, which was a suicide note, and he called the woman. He told her that he wanted to meet her at the next convention he went to. She came. He asked her to come to the next convention he was planning to go to. She did. Five years or so afterwards, she wrote him to thank him, because she just got her masters.

At least he was able to get a star on the Walk of Fame before he passed.
