An open letter to the Jelly Belly Candy Company

Dear Jelly Belly,
What’s the deal with your “Buttered Popcorn” jelly beans? Seriously, I’d rather eat an entire bag of disgusting licorice jelly beans than accidentally consume even one of these buttery-sweet monstrosities. Please remove them from your flavor line-up posthaste.

Somebody had to say it! Thanks for stepping up to the plate
Hopefully I don’t sink to the ranks of Fedora and Pipe Guy, but I used to love those in high school. The office manager always had jelly beans and we’d grab a few and always enjoyed the popcorn ones.
We’d being myself and one of the other office ‘gophers.’
No! That’s my favorite!! I also like jalopeno! And have you ever had the everyflavor beans? The grass and pepper ones aren’t bad at all. Neither is the spinach.
Oh! And I love licorice too!
I LOVE the popcorn Jelly Bellies! They just don’t mix well with the other flavors (like the licorice ones). So, I eat ‘em all first. Luckily, they are easy to pick out — yellow spots. But, whatever you do DO NOT eat the sugar free Jelly Bellies — those things almost killed me. They gave me an unbelievable stomack ache and gas.
However, my current candy favorite is Baskin Robbins sugar free hard candies. They’re made with Splenda and they have a fantastic creamy taste — like ice cream. The orange ones are the best, then raspberry, then strawberry.
Gotta agree with Jess. The popcorn flavor is most heinous.
The only thing Jelly Bellies have going for them is their size — other wise, give me the red, yellow, and orange flavors of traditionall candy. Who do they think they are, anyway??!?
I actually enjoy the popcorn one too. Although, my favorite is the strawberry cheesecake. It tastes like Pillsbury/Duncan Hines strawberry frosting.

Buttered Popcorn Jelly Bellys are the bees’ knees.
Ick.. The popcorn ones are awful. But how can you not like licorice flavored jelly beans?! So tasty.
Bleck! Popcorn! For a sampling of the worst of Jelly Belly I recommend purchasing the “Harry Potter” box of Jelly Bellies. I bought some for my 8 year old cousin this past christmas and he got a kick out of them. Just a few flavors: vomit, booger, soap, dirt, earthworm and speghetti.
Ugh. I’ve thought this flavor was disgusting for years. Thanks for finally doing something about it.
Okay, I like the Buttered Popcorn. But I’d be willing to give it up if they would introduce Grass (no, not that grass) as a regular flavor. It’s muey delicioso!
