Get paid $100k per year to serve as Vice President of CMT’s Dukes of Hazzard Institute. Duties include blogging about the Dukes, driving the General Lee, and appearing at events like Dukefest 2005 in Bristol, Tennessee. Why don’t I remember any Dukefests from when I lived in Bristol?

    Brother, *I* don’t remember any Duke-fests.

There was one last year. It may have been the first.

While this may appear to be a goog gig, consider it logically.

I would want more than $100K to everything this job requires. Seriously, managing the blog would be a full-time job. I work as a Web editor and if I had to do tradeshows and public appearances in addition to managing Web content, I’d go insane. Since it is a position as an “independent contractor”, you wouldn’t have benefits, either. With both salary and benefits, most Web content editors make over $100K — and we don’t have to travel around the country in the General Lee.
