Mexed missages

As far as I’m concerned, the highlight of tonight’s debate was this statement from President Bush on the importance of unwavering, resolute leadership: “You cannot lead if you send mexed missages.”
My wife’s immediate response: “Can you tex-mex those missages?”

I caught that too. Snappy line on paper, but for Bush’s own good he needs to stay away from the Suzy Sells Sea Shells stuff.
Remind me again why anyone would vote for that jackass?
