Title? I don’t need no stinkin’ title!

Two things I just can’t get excited about lately:

1. Eating meat straight from the bone. Over the past few years, I’ve developed a strong aversion to eating meat directly from the bone — whether it’s fried chicken, spare ribs, or whatever. For some reason, it just grosses me out; I think it’s the primitiveness of the act. Does that make me effete or just uppity? Probably both, but I’m willing to bet that when we all evolve into floating telekinetic brains someday, we probably won’t be eating baby back ribs.*

2. The Summer Olympics. The Winter Olympics are da bomb-diggity, yo.

* On the other hand, I predict that at least one floating telekinetic brain will nevertheless insist on singing Chili’s “I want my baby back, baby back, baby back…” jingle periodically just to tick me off.

I completely agree with #1. I can’t stand ribs. Not that they taste bad, but gnawing at bones for just a little bit of meat doesn’t appeal to me. Heather thinks I’m crazy. Give me bone-free meat anyday!

And you know me, I couldn’t care less about #2. :)

I thought I was the only freak who thinks eating meat off the bone is gross! Heh!

I’m not grossed out by eating off of the bone, I’m just lazy. Take the aforementioned ribs as an example. All that work and for a nibble of meat? No way. Same thing with chicken. Give me chicken strips any day.

I guess the only exception is a good T-bone steak. Easy to knife and fork that.

I love meat right off the bone, and if you can’t get a bone, shove it on a stick. But once we found good boneless wings(it seems unnatural), there was no turning back. Suddenly you could just pop the whole thing in your mouth and not have to worry about choking. The only way to fly.

There has never been a gross-out factor… well, not until now :P
