Dispatch from Paragon City

In what’s sure to be a decision I’ll regret when the fall semester rolls around, I’ve allowed myself to be lured into the massively multiplayer time-devourer that is City of Heroes. That being said, I got involved in what I anticipated would be a minor scrape with a small group of street thugs in the game earlier today only to find myself overwhelmed by their superior numbers and menacing baseball bats. Just when it looked like all hope was lost, however, another player calling himself “Jesus” (complete with beard, long hair, and kung-fu action grip) arrived on the scene and helped me to dispatch my foes.
Just before he flew off, “Jesus” turned to me and said, “I have saved you, my child. You can thank me later.”
So, uh…thanks for saving me, Jesus.

You too? The latest update at Penny Arcade (Wednesday) also talked about how everyone is into this new game.
Whaaa? No mention of being my in-game side-kick? This is the thanks I get for mentoring you and inviting you into my SuperGroup. For shame. I regret manipulating you into purchasing this $14.95-a-month euphoria.
