General Comments:
The Mystic-377 virus was submitted in June, 1993. Its origin or
point of isolation is unknown. Mystic-377 is a non-resident,
direct action infector of .COM programs, including COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Mystic-377 virus is executed,
the Mystic-377 virus will infect one .COM file located in the
current directory. The user will usually then be returned to the
DOS prompt.
Programs infected with the Mystic-377 virus will have a file length
increase of 377 bytes with the virus being located at the end of the
file. The program's date and time in the DOS disk directory listing
will not be altered. The following text strings are encrypted
within the Mystic-377 viral code:
"'Mystic' by Digital Alchemy"
"*.COM"
Known variant(s) of Mystic-377 are:
Mystic-379: Functionally similar to the orginal virus, this
variant adds 379 bytes to the .COM programs it infects.
