General Comments:
The Mark II, or Mark ][, virus was submitted in June, 1993. Its
origin or point of isolation is unknown. Mark II is a non-resident
direct action infector of .COM programs, including COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Mark II virus is executed, this
virus will infect one .COM program located in the current directory.
Infected programs will increase in size by 350 to 351 bytes, with
the virus being located at the end of the file. The program's date
and time in the DOS disk directory listing will have been updated
to the current system date and time when infection occurred. The
following text string can be found within the viral code in all
Mark II infected programs:
"*.COM"
Mark II doesn't appear to do anything besides replicate.
