General Comments:
The Lord-933 virus was submitted in March, 1993. Its origin or
point of isolation is unknown. Lord-933 is a non-resident, direct
action infector of .COM programs, including COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Lord-933 virus is executed, the
Lord-933 virus will infect one .COM program located in the
current directory. A "beep" will then be emitted from the system
speaker, and the program the user was attempting to run will
execute.
Programs infected with the Lord-933 virus will have a file length
increase of 933 to 948 bytes with the virus being located at the
end of the file. The program's date and time in the DOS disk
directory listing will not be altered. The following text strings
are visible within the viral code in all Lord-933 infected programs:
"*.com"
"qvCreated by Death Lord"
