General Comments:
The Late Night virus was received in January, 1995. Its origin or
point of isolation is unknown. Late Night is a non-resident,
direct action infector of .COM files, including COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Late Night virus is executed, this
virus will infect all of the .COM files in the current directory.
Infected files will have a file length increase of 248 bytes with
the virus being located at the end of the file. The program's date
and time in the DOS disk directory listing will not be altered. The
following text strings are visible within the viral code:
"*.com"
"Get some sleep, will ya? - Late Night Virus - Jack Damn"
The Late Night virus will display a message when an infected
program is executed after midnight. This message is the second
text string indicated above.
