General Comments:
The Handi-215 virus was submitted in September, 1993. Its origin or
point of isolation is unknown. Handi-215 is a non-resident, direct
action infector of .COM programs, but not COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Handi-215 virus is executed, this
virus will infect all of the .COM files in the current directory,
with the exception of COMMAND.COM. Infected programs wil have a
file length increase of 215 bytes with the virus being located at
the beginning of the file. The program's date and time will have
been updated to the current system date and time when infection
occurred. The following text string is visible within the viral
code in all Handi-215 infected programs:
"*.COM"
Handi-215 doesn't do anything besides replicate.
