General Comments:
The Hallo-496 virus was submitted in March, 1993. Its origin or
point of isolation is unknown. Hallo-496 is a non-resident,
direct action infector of .COM programs, including COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Hallo-496 virus is executed, this
virus will infect one .COM program located in the current directory.
After it has infected a file, it will then display the following
message on the system display and a system hang will occur:
"Hallo! I have got a virus for you!"
Programs infected with the Hallo-496 virus will have a file length
increase of 496 bytes with the virus being located at the end of
the file. The program's date and time in the DOS disk directory
listing will have been updated to the current system date and time
when infection occurred. The above text string is visible within
the viral code in all Hallo-496 infected files, as is the following
additional text string:

Hallo-751: Hallo-751 was submitted in September, 1993. Like the
original virus, its origin or point of isolation is
unknown. Hallo-751 infects one .COM program located in
the current directory, and displays the following message,
whenever an infected program is executed:
"Hallo! I have got a virus for you!"
Miscellaneous characters from memory may be displayed
following the message. Infected programs will have a
file length increase of 751 to 766 bytes with the virus
being located at the end of the file. The program's date
and time in the DOS disk directory listing will have been
updated to the current system date and time when infection
occurred. Besides the message indicated above, the
following text string can be found within the viral code
in all infected files:

original virus, its origin or point of isolation is
unknown. Hallo-759 infects one .COM program located in
the current directory, and displays the following message,
whenever an infected program is executed:
"Hallo! I have got a virus for you!"
Infected programs will have a file length increase of 759
to 774 bytes with the virus being located at the end of the
file. The program's date and time in the DOS disk
directory listing will have been updated to the current
system date and time when infection occurred. Besides the
