The virus will infect .COM files, but only the first one in the current directory, whether it was previously infected or not. The Do-Nothing virus is also memory resident, always installing itself to memory address 9800:100h, and can only infect systems with 640K of memory. The virus does not protect this area of memory in any way, and other programs which use this area will overwrite it in memory, removing the virus from memory. The Do-Nothing virus does no apparent damage, nor does it affect operation of the system in any observable way, thus its name. See: Saddam
