The Warez-1341 virus was submitted in April, 1993. Its origin or
point of isolation is unknown. Warez-1341 is a non-resident
direct action infector of .COM programs, but not COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with the Warez-1341 virus is executed, this
virus will infect all of the .COM programs in the current directory
which are larger than approximately 2K in size. Infected programs
will have a file length increase of 1,341 bytes with the virus
being located at the end of the file. The program's date and time
in the DOS disk directory listing will not be altered. The following
text strings are visible within the viral code in all Warez-1341
infected programs:
"*.com"
"- W A R E Z D 0 0 D -"
The Warez-1341 virus will occassionally corrupt the file
allocation table on the system hard disk when an infected program
is executed.
