The VHX or VHX.322 virus was received in January, 1996. Its origin
or point of isolation is unknown. VHX is a non-resident direct
action infector of .COM files, including COMMAND.COM, though it
will not infect files located on the A: drive.
When a program infected with this virus is executed on the system
hard disk, this virus will infect from one to many .COM files
located in the current directory. Infected .COM files will have
a file length increase of 322 bytes with the virus being located
at the end of the file. The program's time in the DOS disk
directory listing will not be altered, but the date will have been
set to "04-27-94". The following text string is visible within
the viral code:
"*.COM"
