General Comments:
The V270x virus was received from Europe in May, 1991. V270x is
a non-resident, direct action infector of .COM files. It does not
infect COMMAND.COM.
When a program infected with V270x is executed, the virus will
infect up to five .COM programs in the current directory. The
first program infected will increase in size by 268 bytes. The
second program infected will increase by 269 bytes. The third
through fifth programs infected will increase in size by 270, 271,
and 272 bytes, respectively. In all cases, the virus will be
located at the beginning of infected programs. The file's date
and time in the disk directory will not be altered.
V270x appears to not do anything besides replicate.
