General Comments:
The Trieda or Trieda.851 virus was received in January, 1996. Its
origin or point of isolation is unknown. Trieda is a non-resident
direct action infector of .EXE files.
When a program infected with the Trieda virus is executed, this
virus will infect up to three .EXE files located in the current
directory, however it does not infect past the fourth .EXE file
located in the current directory. Once it starts to infect the
fourth .EXE file in the directory, it will reinfect this file
over and over again.
Programs infected with this virus will have a file length increase
of 851 bytes for each copy of the virus present on the file. The
virus will be located at the end of the file. The program's date
and time in the DOS disk directory listing will not be altered.
