Space Quest Saved Games

Are you stuck in the Space Quest series? If so, the Virtual Broomcloset is here to provide saved games for the entire Space Quest series. Have you been trying to get Roger through the Skate-O-Rama for months? Do you encounter an Error 47 every time you attempt to scan the datacard in Space Quest 6? Or, do you just want to skip to a particular scene in any of the games? These saved games might be the answer to your prayers! Please note, however, that these games might overwrite your previously-saved games. You've been warned!

Please note that some of the following files will require a decompression program to unzip. Also, if you receive an error message while trying to load these games (generally stating that the game was saved under a different interpreter), it probably means that the saved games here are not compatible with your version of a give Space Quest episode. For further assistance, feel free to e-mail me.

Space Quest 6: The Spinal Frontier

Problem: Space Quest 6 crashes when the DNA card is inserted in the lab scanner in Sickbay (Error 47).

Solution: Follow these directions to download a saved game for Space Quest 6 that picks up back in Roger's quarters, just after the Error 47 crash.

  1. Check the version of the game. Insert the CD and type at the DOS CD-ROM prompt "TYPE VERSION" and press ENTER.

  2. Once you have determined what version of SQ6 is installed on your system, download the appropriate saved game from the list below into your Space Quest 6 folder.

  3. When the proper file has finished downloading, double-click on it to expand it. Then, start Space Quest 6 and load the saved game. If you're downloading the international version, you'll need a decompression program to unzip it. Just uncompress it to the SQ6 directory (it will overwrite your existing saved games).
